Login Screen Changer For Leopard

After a Day which was fully boring I felt like doing some Apple scripting. Then with help of a friend for some part i was finally able to complete a Simple but May be Useful Script. OS: MAC OS 10.5.7 Verified This Script is Called: Leopard Login Screen Changer. What It Does: Changes The Boring Galaxy Screen off from your Login Screen in OS X Leopard to the one you love. Is This Script Really Useful: Naa, Just some Eye Candy. Any Damage To My System: Nothing serious, After Running the Script for the first time Backup and Keep that DefaultDesktop.jpg file which gets created in your Desktop.(As Later runs will Replace that File with the one you selected previously.) Any Further Improvements: Possible, But time frame cannot be set . Dock Switcher for Leopard

After my friend Rajiv wrote a Apple Script to Switch the Safari into Spy Mode , I also went through some of my useless scrips... :P and found this... :) This script can switch the Leopard OS/ Snow Leopard OS Dock from 3D mode to 2D mode like the one in Tiger OS. Yet Another Hackinthosh...... :D

2 Weeks after successfully installing and running the OS X on my personal machine i find some time to post here.... :) Details : With 4 MAC OS X Hackinthosh DVD's i was trying a install. 10.5.2 Kalway, 10.5.4 iDeneb, 10.5.6 iDeneb, 10.5.6 iPC. First 3 DVD's gave "still waiting for root device" error, Then Finally got the iPC 10.5.6 installed on my machine on following components.... AMD Athlon X2 3600+ XFX Nvidia 8600 GT 512 MB DDR3 Gigabyte M61PME-S2 AM2+ Motherboard, 2GB Transcend 667 MHz DDR2 RAM, Microsoft PS/2 KB i have gave a lot of trouble, Ditched it and used my old USB KB, Used nVidia-inject 512 MB, Everything works like a charm, provided i repair permissions whenever i fiddle with some stuff. OS X looks Beautiful on 22" HD monitor. And also by using the GRUB, I have made my Machine to boot into 3 OS's, Windows XP/MAC OS X/Ubuntu... Mission Hackinthosh...........!!

After Working with MAC at Office i was just dying to try therir OS on my PC ;). I tried to install the cracked MAC OS on my PC earlier, But got failed. After some months and some more amount of searching, I know what all components to choose and from where i can get all the files for my system. So the Mission Hackinthosh was set last Saturday. My Home PC configuration: AMD Sempron 1250+ ASUS M2N-MX MB 2 x 1GB transcend 667MHz DDR2 RAM 40 GB WD IDE + 160 GB Seagate SATA LG 18X DVD Writer IDE. Samsung CRT monitor Logitech K/B, Samsung Optical Mouse Both PS/2 The Work, Disconnected the 160 GB SATA HDD as didn't wanted to take chance with my Data... :) Then connected the IDE 40 GB HDD, searched and found the Old Kalway MAC OS X 10.5.2 DVD and booted the system. As i am familiar with MAC OS installation it was no difficult task for me to partition the drive and go ahead. The Difficult part was Choosing which packages and patches to install. During last try of my Hackinthosh some months ...

Operating Systems I have Used....

Just for a second I Imagined how many OS's i have seen and worked on....... And i started to count... the list was getting quite long... So thought why not blog about it.... :) Lets Start: 1. MS DOS : That is the first OS which introduced me to computers...:) 2. Windows 98 : Yes I have played a lot of NFS2 on this OS... 3. Windows 2000 and ME : They are different OS's, But almost same kind of OS's. Boring... :P 4. Windows XP : The Ultimate OS, which I still love to use, Started using it from year 2003. And I can say best OS MS produced till date. 5. Windows Vista : Yuck.... This OS made me to lose my hair quite a few times. 6. Windows 7 : Just looking into it, But didn't go much deep... 7,8,9,10,11. PCQLinux/ Redhat /Xandros /Knoppix / Linspire : They all gave me a glance of Linux. I used to try 1 distro everyday whe i was in college... :) 12. MAC OS 9.0 : I had to work on this due to some Project. 13,14,15. MAC OS 10.0, 10.1, 10.2 : All again for some project work, No...
