One Fine day last week, My dad called me near computer and told he needs Yahoo Messenger, I said just a min, let me configure it in Pidgin. All of a sudden he started yelling at me regarding the difficulty in the OS regarding installation of softwares(Ya he used to install only spyware/malware/adware in windows) that this bla bla bla...., Started screaming that he wants Windows Installed now. I had no other Option than Installing Windows on my machine after listening to his 15 min yelling. So i started searching for drivers CD's and everything which is needed to install Windows. Installed Windows XP. After i finished installation, Sister said she wants Linux..... :) So installed Ubuntu 9.04 for her and myself when i have to use the machine... :) After all work Slept at 11.30PM and around 1AM there was Lightning....!! Mission Hackinthosh...........!!

After Working with MAC at Office i was just dying to try therir OS on my PC ;). I tried to install the cracked MAC OS on my PC earlier, But got failed. After some months and some more amount of searching, I know what all components to choose and from where i can get all the files for my system. So the Mission Hackinthosh was set last Saturday. My Home PC configuration: AMD Sempron 1250+ ASUS M2N-MX MB 2 x 1GB transcend 667MHz DDR2 RAM 40 GB WD IDE + 160 GB Seagate SATA LG 18X DVD Writer IDE. Samsung CRT monitor Logitech K/B, Samsung Optical Mouse Both PS/2 The Work, Disconnected the 160 GB SATA HDD as didn't wanted to take chance with my Data... :) Then connected the IDE 40 GB HDD, searched and found the Old Kalway MAC OS X 10.5.2 DVD and booted the system. As i am familiar with MAC OS installation it was no difficult task for me to partition the drive and go ahead. The Difficult part was Choosing which packages and patches to install. During last try of my Hackinthosh some months ...

Operating Systems I have Used....

Just for a second I Imagined how many OS's i have seen and worked on....... And i started to count... the list was getting quite long... So thought why not blog about it.... :) Lets Start: 1. MS DOS : That is the first OS which introduced me to computers...:) 2. Windows 98 : Yes I have played a lot of NFS2 on this OS... 3. Windows 2000 and ME : They are different OS's, But almost same kind of OS's. Boring... :P 4. Windows XP : The Ultimate OS, which I still love to use, Started using it from year 2003. And I can say best OS MS produced till date. 5. Windows Vista : Yuck.... This OS made me to lose my hair quite a few times. 6. Windows 7 : Just looking into it, But didn't go much deep... 7,8,9,10,11. PCQLinux/ Redhat /Xandros /Knoppix / Linspire : They all gave me a glance of Linux. Linux is Fun....

First, Thanks to the Linux Community for a warm welcome to Linux. Ya, My Mission Linux Post just got some awesome response from the Linux Users and Gurus.... :) Ya, Mission Linux looks like it is a Success.... I did not receive any complaints after one Week of usage at Home, That is just a good sign for me and I am Happy.(Psst... No virus tension... :) ) Now why on earth Linux is FUN when everyone says it's so Complicated....?? Linux is Fun because Linux is complicated..... :) Everything is a challenge in Linux, challenges make you learn many things. So what is the first challenge i faced in Linux?? Installing applications........... Some applications come with the suitable bundle for my Linux(Opera for Example), it's just easy to install. But some require some console work, that is just a little fun for me. Searching the web for resources, failing multiple times and finally getting success is just too sweet. I like challenges as they help me learn quickly, that just makes me...

I want to..............

I want to say a few things, but i just can't say them. I want to bash someone, But i can't just do it. I want to make everything go fine, but it is just too hard for me. I want to achieve something, but time always keeps running out. I want to make everyone understand what true potential is, But no one is interested. I want to live life Independently, but i am missing the key. I want to go out and scream loudly, but in crowd no one cares me. I want to see people happy, but somehow they find a reason to be unhappy. I want to make a point in this world, but the pen is just not sharp enough. Yes i want many things..... But life just seems to take me on it's own path. I feel i am lost. Need to find a path and move ahead...... I know this post does not make any sense to ya.... But it makes a lot of sense for me.....

Mission Linux...........

Yes, It was my dream to ditch Windows and get Linux on my Home machine, After many years the dream has come true. I have OpenSUSE running on my system Now..... :) Once upon a time when i used to play games, that time the Windows was necessary for me. But some recent developments just made me to shift my home computer to Linux. What made me to install Linux on Home system........?? My home computer is not used for any gaming now, Nor any serious work. It's used just to browse Internet,Some document editing and Watch some Media. So essentially these tasks should be handled by Linux in a breeze. Last week my Home machine's Windows got Corrupted resulting in a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death). One of Important file remained in the Windows Partition. So there was no other option than recovering that file before installing Windows. So i though of installing Linux in the empty Disc space. After Installation of Linux I got back my file, then suddenly I felt like why not Keep Linux on this s...
